Life and work at the studio

The Studio

Hulson was never more at home than in his studio, where he surrounded himself with his own favourite pieces of work, the tools of his trade and books about art. Only a few photos exist of his studio in Harrow, where he lived from 1965 to 1998 and where most of his work was completed. However, everything was transferred when he moved to the Barbican flat, which he chose on account of the excellent north light. The way he set his studio up for his work is a reflection of the kind of man he was. It has been documented just as he left it.
